A few important additions to oue "elections have consequences" screed.
(1) The Republicans now control more than half the state legislatures (both houses) that will do the redistricting of congressional seats. They have governors in most of those states. Even in New York, Republicans take control of the state senate.
(2) Lamar Smith, a Tevas Congressman, will chair the House Judiciary Committee, and has already warned the Obama executive departments to cease and desist shredding any documents.
(3) Darrell Issa, the California bulldog congressman who has Attorney General Eric Holder in his crosshairs, will not now be so easily rebuffed, and he and Smith may be able to get their Special Prosecutor whether anyone else likes it or not.
But the 61 House seats and six senators "tsunami" pales in importance and impact on the future when measured against the tumult that wuill result from the takeover of statehouses by the G.O.P.

Where it Counts !
This corner will have two very brief comments on the political upheaval of Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2010:
(1) The changes, as all good ones are in a Free Republic, are People-Driven, local and not sleazily procured.
(2) While predicted here in this unpretentious corner of the Blogosphere, the tumult was greater and will be more far reaching than we can now see.
John F. Kennedy's maternal grandfather, "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald famously (and ungramatically) said: "All politics is local !"
No election season ever placed a surer seal on that averral than this past one.
If you note, in many places where well entrenched Democrat machines and habitual shenannigans at the site of the ballot are legend, congressional districts went Republican, because the concentration of the "people's will" was stronger and more focused and undiluted as it tends to be in a statewide election.
Only in the election of John Kasich to the governor's chair in Ohio was the outpouring fierce enough to shake the three large Democrat cities' stranglehold.
And, yes, in Illinois, Obama;'s seat went to a repubicanl Paul Kirk. But that was due to the uprising of the midstate and downstate Illinois conservatives who made a massive turnout for this midterm election. They usually do not.
Four black Tea Party candidates took congressional seats as Republicans. John Dingell, the oldest; longest- serving congressmanlost his Michigan seat to a young Tea Party upstart.
Finally, translating the groundswell of frustration with the Democrat admnistration's contemptuous disregard for mail, telephone, fax, wire and email pleas, voters in at least two states took it out on everybody on the ballot.
There is a very treasured confidante I have in Maine who told me: "We do not have a shot at Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins this year, but we are sending Paul LePage to clean out the statehouse. You watch and see""
And, sure enough, little-heralded, Governor-elect LePage of Maine was the last race called. And, the whole atate went Replublican.
Finally, there is Wisconsin, that basiopn of Politial Correctness and frivolity spewing from the sewer of Madison's univerity trappings.
Russ Feingold was defeated as senator, and the governorship, the statehouse assemly and offices ALL were captured by Republicans.
Which probably flows from the healthy way the population of the state is scattered in a lot of amall cities the size of LaCrosse, Racine, Green Bay, Superior, Black River Falls and like that. Milwaukee (with amall town character) and uppity elitist Madison have no real political pretensions.
No...The bigtime manipulators who pull in union thugs to crash the voting machines, and "lose" ballots conveniently (as in Minneapolis & St. Paul Minnesota), and the intimidating gangs cannot rule Wisconsin's people.
Or many other places in America when people refuse to sit down and shut up like a weary blue-haird spinster.

Malice Strikes Again
The Ass Press filed a story Tuesday, October 19, erroneously (as usual) reporting that Delaware U.S. Senatorial Candidate Christine O' Donnel did not know that the U.S. Constitution "separated church and state".
This was a lie. She simply questioned whether it is firmly settled constitutional intention to prevent prayers and religious history in schools, and in state and federal legislatures.
This is an historical debate that has been going on since 1802.
As a matter of fact, most citizens do not know that when the Supreme Court forbade prayer in school, it based its decision NOT on constitutional grounds, but on a letter President Thomas Jefferson wrote to some Baptists.

Many Supreme Court Justices, Law scholars and historians believe that the main thrust of the constitutional amendment guaranteed freedom OF religion...NOT freedom FROM religion.

That Jefferson had no hand in constructing our constitution, (he was in Paris) and that he repeatedly called for its replacement or complete revision every ten years at the least, are seminal facts that have been addressed in many biographies, most notably American Sphinx.

Who Makin' Who Baaaad?
The Obama call-to-arms aimed at his listless followers in a Philadelphia appearance where a naked man streaked at his lectern and someone threw a book at him was:
“Now, don’t you-all make me look bad...!!!”
T.S. Eliot was right...It all ends not with a bang but a whimper.
Now if you do not think the voters in America hear and attend this stuff, let me point out that the most reliable, unbiased tracking showed him losing from two to four points in the next 23 hours.
You could actually FEEL all the Dem congresspersons cringe.
I mean, can you place this in historical perspective?
For instance:
(1) Moses, burdened with the tablets from Sinai, finding his people worshiping a gold calf...
(2) The Prophet Mohammed, preparing his followers for the slaughters at Meggido or Mecca...
(3) Henry V to his Band of Brothers before Agincourt...
(4) General Washington, General Nathaniel Greene, Colonels John Marshall and Alexander Hamilton to the Continental army at the Battle of Yorktown...
(5) General Pickett , preparing his men for the Gettysburg charge...
(6) Napoleon, prior to the retreat from Moscow....
(7) General “Nuts” McAuliffe and General Patton at Bastogne....
(8) General Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf just before they began “Shock & Awe”...
I just cannot see or hear any of these Giants whining and begging that their troops “Don’t Make ME Look Bad....”
What he’s saying is that it is the “fault” of the PEOPLE if he “looks bad”...that is, if he fails.
Well, I am willing to bear my part of the “blame” . As a matter of fact, I have already voted absentee.

We see by both Chicago fish wrappers and the Ass Press that our annointed Jackass has predicted "Hand-to-Hand Combat" if conservatives replace Dhimmies in either House of Congress.
Just what he means by this, YOU probably have a clearer idea than he has.
With a job approval rating of 42%, according to historically Democratic party-biased Gallup in Princeton; and with a TRUE unemployment rate of more than 10% according to the same friendly source, Gallup, he is stirring up a fist fight.
Is this to pardon and support the kind of activity the New Black Panthers and Louis Farrakhan call for?
Hyperbole is ONE thing. We are accustomed to having all the ills besetting us blamed on an execitive administration that has been out of legislative power for four years in Washington.
We are used to the mainstream media covering up for the sleaze and fraud of the Barney Frank and Chris Dodd playhouse.
Indeed, those vulgar creeps are the ones who delivered Democrats into their tornadic decline, under the leadership of Harry Reid in the Senate and Nancy Pelosi in the House.
But threating the people of the United States and opposition candidates with
"Hand-to-hand-combat" on the floor of the National legislature????
That's kinda heavy handed---if not, indeed suicidal--- even for a Chicago Thug.
Three more weeks of this, and there will not be enough Dems in either house for a crooked poker game.
Or a shot at Three-Card-Monte.

Autumn Hero
We will probably have to wait until after November's election to see the tedious wheels of Justice do their fine work, but the process began today, Friday, September 24, 2010 when Chjstopher Coates testified before the U.S. Civil Rights Cimmission.
Though warned by his superiors at the Obama / Holder DoJ NOT to appear, Coates told the supposedly non-partisan body how Julie Fernandez, in her role as deputy assistant U.S. Attorney General ORDERED that no more DoJ action be taken against "minority" civil rights offenders such as the New Black Panthers who wresteled, assaulted and intumidated voters in the 2008 presidential election.
This was an Heroic appearance by Coates, who had reportedly received death threats from others as well as admonitions from DoJ personnel.

On Gruel and Glory
Can Gruel and Glory actually trump the self centered greedy ME-ME-ME-ME mob mentality ?
Whether it was original with this writer or not, we once cobbled the thought that "History is sometimes in tumult when Time makes way for gruel and Glory."
The smug assertion by the dupes of Big Government and its "Plantation" mentality were widely quoted two years ago as saying:
"Now my mortgage will be paid...Now I gonna have all my dreams come tue..." And so on.
There was mass dazzlement by the two-beat rhythm of tthe words: "Hope" and "Change". The ensuing dance around the embers of personal responsibility was (momentarily) hypnotic.
But now we look around America and see the very ones who just KNEW there would be Utopia and New Jerusalem from Bangor to La Jolla, now are turning up at Obama's cozy talk-ins to ask him "Wha' Hoppen???!!" and to scold him "I am exhausted with defending you !"
And millions of plain citizens---all live voters and yes, some old and many unemployed--gather in memorial tribute to the patriots in Boston who dumped British tea into the harbor rather than pay taxes on it. They also raise the old Gadsden flag with the coiled rattler announcing "Don't Tread on Me."
Wild left wing socialists on television and in doomed newspapers are frightened. Without checking, they assume these crowds are racists, bigots, violent.
Honest anger at false and incompetent governance by FOUR YEARS of Democrat senate and house members and two years of blind and deaf White House bluster, however, fuel the expanding rage of heretofore placid folk.
Too late, the Handmaidens of profligacy and empty promises are realizing that the Tea Party is multiracial, peopled and fed by an educated willingness to put everything on the line so to speak.
Simply, there is a movement that is largely non-partisan, of very human sufferers who know their history and their economics better than the elite overlords of established "Conventional Wisdom".
Like saints with beggar bowls, like David facing Goliath and like the Prodigal son who rose from the swine pen---they are willing to survive on gruel for the Glory of a free society and a balanced honorable governance.
For policymaking servants who listen and who see.

T-Party Not a "Social" Deal
Dr. Charles Krauthammer took some time to try and educate his Libtard home rag, the Washington Post on the true nature and fuel of the Tea Party movement.
WaPo and all the Pro-0 leftwing media yowls and yaps frothily about the "hayeful" and "racist" Tea Partiers (who began their pilgrimage in...CHICAGO !
"It is about governance, not social issues," Dr K said and went on to build an architecturally unassailable foundation for his thesis.
But they'll continue to choose to not hear and in not learning, they will end in the dustbin.
And, by "governance" you can plainly see that Democrat control of the national legiuslature for FOUR years has been as detrimental as Obama's two year occupancy of the executive.
Here is the sort of thing that unsettles and angers many who get their news from sources other than the Ass Press, the alphabet TV nets and the Ivory Tower elite dying print press:
Palestinian Authority members of the "Peace Talks" have told U.S. reresentatives of Obama ---particularly SoS Hillary Clinton--- that if they do not "get a Palestinian State this time" there will be war.
PA prime minister Abbas has also indicated to Clinton and Obama that there will be "armed resistance" to any recognotion of Israel as a Jewish State".
You have not heard this on your TV nerws yet ? You have not seen it in the local auto-and-jobs-wanted fish wrapper?

A Kenyan and An Indonesian Went Into a Bar.....
One of the latest revelations of some very sharp Internet Blogger-Investigators is that much of the "stimulus" money supposed to create jobs, went into the toilet, so-to-speak.
There have been many horrible examples---none of which has made any of the "alphabet" news programs or more than two daily newspapers.
Thursday, it was revealed on the Internet (I Hate The Media.com) that the Obama-Geithner-Pelosi-Reid administration gave $700,000 to one academic to create software that would "invent" jokes.

Reaping the Harvest....
It cannot have been completely unnoticed by readers of this space that we are hostile to "recreational" mind altering substances.
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 had three stories availavble on the Internet that probably missed the ken of your favorite talking head or wilting daily rag.
First one was an item on Drudge Report that a senior aide to Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) was arrested on Capitol Hill, on carrying and concealing marijuana charges putting a dent in the supply of Happy Hemp for our sugust legislators and their staff huffers. Marcus Stanley is a high profile economics researcher for Boxer.

Free Republic.com's "Kristin" exposed the post and within an hour it had been taken down by HuffPo !

Kristin reports the author of the threat is one Beau Friedlander, ex-Editor-in-Chief of Air America. Here is Friedlander's text as it was published om;ine:

Someone scared Ariana and her editors with the knowledge that this is equal to exrtortion, a signed death threat and obvious fodder for the FBI.

Eye Opener For Couric & Co.
We'd wager the folks at the Corrupt Broadcasting System (CBS) thought they would pull a fast one and hammer away.
But, at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night they had to release the poll. The blogosphere had wind of it and the deteriorating network had to publish it. That time of night, you WILL admit is a weird time to release a nationwide poll.
The CBS NEWS nationwide poll of voters found that 72% believe it is not "APPROPRIATE" to build a Mohammedan / Muslim / Islamic mosque at Ground Zero where Islamic extremist terrorists killed 3,000 on September 11, 2001.
Eighteen per cent (18%) queried said it would be "appropriate".

That word "appropriate" alone damns the story, which begins by saying "a majority" in the lede instead of "Three quarters"....
Two questions that will NEVER be answered by CBS:

(2) Why did they feel they had to EXPLAIN that those who hated the idea probably had a "negative attitude" toward Muslims?? Why use two paragraphs to make such an obvious point?

Beginning with THAT one: National Public Radio's Juan Williams (pale, freckled African-American of apparent Hottentot heritage, announced that the reason Missouri rejected Obamacare in a statewide referendum 71% to 29% was just a bunch oof old white pwople.
He got away with it, too.
What if Bill Kristol had replied, in equally idiotic illogic that the only reason Obama was elected in 2008 was "crazy young black people" ??? We would STILL be drowning in PeeCee ink, crocodile tears and whatever tingled Chrissy Mattjews' leg.
A wise lady once rpeated to me over the years: "Some people just don't know HOW to think !"
And we are at their mercy.
The other thing is surely the beginning of SOME kind of "end".

The Mfisi Syndrome
The second book I read by Ernest Hemingway was a First Edition of The Green Hills of Africa, a lively account of a safari he and his wife, Pauline took in the 1920's.
It was a seminal experience for me because I re-read the book twice in between readings of, The Sun Also Rises, and For Whom the Bel Tolls (which was published when I was 15).
There were many things in the non-fiction account of DOD ("Dear Ol’ Dad") and POM ("Poor Ol’ Mom") on romantic Safari under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro.
This book contained "Papa’s" first foray into literary criticism.
In talking to an Austrian hunter named Sandisky, Hemingway made a trenchant appraisal of "New York Writers" that I have used a hundred times to characterize "libruhls", socialists, whore columnists and incestuous Manhattan-Washington umbilical parasites.
"They are", he said, "like earthworms trapped in a sealed Mason Jar, trying to draw life, meaning and sustenance from one another...doomed to dessiccate and fade on the wind like ashes when released to the real world...."
But that did not end Hemingway’s store of vital bestiaries.
I remember his delight at the elegant Masai and their use of the wondrous poetry of Swahili. Doesn’t "Simba" just sculpt a lion ?
And he went into great detail describing how hyenas, the Mfisi, would chew and devour their own entrails when wounded by a swipe from a lioness or leopard or cheetah at a natural "kill".

And, because the people of the United States elected a "black" man president, those same people are all branded "racist" if they disagree with ANY of his administration’s policies. Or if they despise the Congress!
Everything, in finality, is Bush’s fault. Nineteen months is not long enough for ownership.
You can feel the froth and frenzy. A lawmaker in Glendale, California, holding a public meeting in a public library had city police officers remove the press from the builoding.
Attorney general Eric Holder refuses to prosecute New Black Panther thugs who intimidated voters with truncheons and profanity in Pennsylvania in 2008. When confronted, a civil rights commission member said :"There is no evidence" although a video of the thugs threatening and harassing voters has been seen by, probably 100 million citizens on television and the internet.
Now, the situation is so "frozen" every word the Democrat legions say is an attack on self.
The implosion will be complete when they find NY Congressman Charles Rangel, (House Ways and Means boos, who writes ALL the tax legislation) "innocent" of corruption charges leveled by the bipartisan ethics committee.
This COULD will be the final act of immolation by the Mfisi !!!

Every time someonem in a national political administration misbheaves---as the president did Wednesday by appointuing a health care rationing Czar outside of Congressional approval---some idiot pundit screams impeachment threats.
But Wednesday, in a session of the supposedly Non-Political United States Civil Rights Commission, a smoking gun was produced.
J. Christian Adams, who resigned his Justice Department post under Eric Hoilder delivered the explosion.
The Bush Administration filed charges against three "New Black Panther Partry" members who asaulted and intimidated voters at a Pennsylvania polling place in November, 2008.
Eric Holder's first act as U.S. attorney general was to withdraw and "dust bin" the case.
Adams finally resigned over the AG's decision and branded it as "racist".

In 2010, the way to save the "housing market" and provide a home for everyone is to not require anyone to qualify for a real estate loan. This also helps vitalize banks.
In 2010, the way the Attorney General protects all citizens is to deep-six any punishment of racist things who assault and intimidate voters at polling places.
In 2010, the most certain way to protect America from Islamofascist killers is to read them their Miranda rights.
And, this year, the Department of Homeland Secutity is protecting our citizens by concentrating on uprooting "militias" and maligning Tea Party
patriots.
And even over in Afghanistan, the U.S. military "Rules of Engagement" prohibit a soldier from firing his wepon unless he is attacked by a person with a plainly visible firearm.

We May, Indeed, Be Doomed by Our Elected....
We had hoped by now to be able to "move forward" with the JobGate and Extortion scandals involving high White House officials and trading money cow positions for political favors.
Only reasion we cannot is that the U.S. Attorney General and the White House counsel are refusing Congressman Darrek Issa's requests for informatuion and communication records. The Office of Special Counsel is silent so far.
But that will likely change after November congressional elections.
Meanwhile,. let us take a look at the sad state of public representation we are in...everywhere.

Ms. Peggy West is a Wisconsin Obama stalwart politician; a Democrat member of the Milwaukee, WI board of county supervisors, duly elected and sworn.
SHE does not even know where Ariziona IS, but she calls for all Americans to "boycott" the state of Arizona because its legiuslature enacted and Governor Brewer signed a new law empowering ALL Arizona police and peace officers to ask suspected illegal alien border-crossers for photo identification. The law encourages deportation of illegals thus identified.
Ms. West cannot understand why Arizona needs such a law. She says she could understand a state like Texas toyung with such a tactic "because Texas and Mexico share a border..."
Well, New Mexico and California (also border states) in addition to "boycotts" of Arizona are screraming for Obama to sue Arizona and kill the law.
More of the illegals identified and NOT yet identified are fleeing to Caliofoprnia and New Mexico than back to old Mexico.

Issa Goes For the Jug
Our little corner of the Blogosphere will waste no time in getting the word out that Congressman Darrell Issa has asked the United States Office of Special Counsel to open an investigation of two denizens of the murky White House: Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and his deputy Jim Messina.

Emanuel, you remember, sent his former boss, ex-president Bill Clinton to get former rear admiral Bobby Sestak to quit his challenge of Senator Allen Specter in Pennsylvania. Messinna Emailed and begged Andy Roimanoff not to run for Mike Bennet;sseat in Colorado, mentioning THREE jobs.
Issa's call for counsel will not appear on your local fishwrapper front page.
Until now, the OSC has been regarded as a sort of SUPER Inspector General force, to protect Whistleblowers and abused bureaucrats.
But, an altogether appropriate OSC investigation will surprise craven sycophant media typoes as well as White House bullies and echoes.
Among the specific duties assigned to the OSC are to investigate:
* Attempts to coerce the political activity of any person.
* Attempts toInfluence anyone to withdraw from any competition...
* Offering of unauthorised prefrence or advantage to anyone.

Darrel Issa was not playing in the manure pile when brains (and tenacity) were passed out. Having been turned down by the Justice department (Eric Holder) and handed a warm blivet by the WH counsel ...which Issa absolutely knew would be the case, he has produced some law that he has researched and THEY may NOT have.
Go back and note that phrase: "any person".

But when the adoring press turns on its darlings at 1600 Pennsy;vania Avenue inside the D.C. Beltway and shines the high beams on "LEGAL" slime, it gives me goosepimples.
